Took place in Palmela an event organised by AFIA - Association of the Manufacturers for the Automobile Industry and by Volkswagen Autoeuropa. The Supplier's Day gathered in Palmela's plant about 75 entrepreneurs, an important event for the consolidation of the Automobile Industry cluster in Portugal, with an important exchange of information and perspectives between the manufacturing companies of components for the automobile industry and the manufacturer of reference settled in Portugal - Volkswagen Autoeuropa.

Were discussed critical issues for the sustained growth of the sector, with special highlight to Volkswagen Quality criteria and Certification Processes, the several stages of the Purchasing procedures and Flexibility - namely of human resources and equipments.

It is another step in the implementation of Volkswagen's strategy for the development of its suppliers. In the scope of this strategy was recently created an RSO - Regional Suppliers Office of Volkswagen Group working in Palmela's plant. Volkswagen also participates actively in the creation of GTDIA - Technical Office for the Development of the Automobile Industry, an initiative created by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation.

In the end of this Supplier's Day, marked by environment of trust in order to obtain positive results for the national cluster of the automobile industry, Volkswagen Autoeuropa expressed very clear its intention in order to work for the increase of the national incorporation in its products and open the doors to other plants of Volkswagen group.
